Bookkeeping 102

This course is a continuation of the Bookkeeping 101 course (offered fall semester). It's open only to students who have previously completed that course or an equivalent course.

This course will prepare students to manage the bookkeeping of a small- to medium-sized organization (including nonprofits and ministries). Under the mentorship of teacher/business owner Chris Paschen, students will begin working with more advanced bookkeeping topics like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. They'll then transition to learning automated bookkeeping software, specifically QuickBooks, which is the most-used bookkeeping software in the country. Other online bookkeeping services will be covered as well.

Students who successfully complete this course will be prepared to get an entry-level position as a bookkeeper in a small business organization or be ready to properly keep the financial records for their own small business.

In previous years students have received job offers upon successfully completing this course (while still high school students).
