Additional Information
Do you have questions about homeschooling? You may be dissatisfied with public and charter school options. There's no question that private schools are expensive. But homeschooling your teenager may seem daunting.
Good news! Mid-Metro Academy may be the solution you're looking for. Our wide variety of classes taught by professional, experienced teachers make it possible to homeschool your student all the way through high school. Come to this free informational event to get answers to questions like these:
- How do I get started with homeschooling?
- Do I need approval from my school district? What are Minnesota's homeschool laws?
- Can homeschooled students still play sports with public school teams or take a class at the school?
- How can I teach subjects I was never good at myself?
- What courses does my student need to take each year?
- How can I make sure my student gets all the classes he needs to graduate?
- Do I seriously have to make my own transcript? How can I do that?
- How will my student make friends?
- Can homeschooling prepare my teen for college, a career, and adulthood?
- Should my student take PSEO? Go to college? Enter the skilled trades?
- Can I really do this?
In addition to solid answers to your questions, you'll meet veteran homeschoolers and hear their stories. Come early to visit with college reps, MMA career education teachers, and reps from other organizations that can help you develop your educational plan.
