Cher Baumhoefner To All Instructors

Cher Baumhoefner has a passion for design and how it can be used to enhance our daily lives and the lives of those around us.  With a BFA in Studio Art from the University of South Florida, Tampa, she was an award-winning interior decorator for JCPenney for 12 years before making a career change to home educate her two daughters. She continues to utilize her expertise and love of design through independent work as a personal consultant for interior and landscape design. Since 1999, she has taught art history and design courses for YEAH Academy and as an adjunct professor for Concordia University PSEO at YEAH. She created the “Designing Interiors” course to share this passion and expertise with high school students. Her goal is to help them recognize the importance of basic elements and principles of design and utilize them to enhance their world.
