Danette Gerardin To All Instructors

Danette Gerardin earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. The degree in Science was the study of Textiles - with a major in Costume Design and a minor in History. Danette continued her studies with a course and a Costume Shop internship in London. It was there that she met her husband Christian. After marrying in France, with a baby in tow, Christian and Danette returned to her native Minneapolis. Danette began to homeschool their daughter Aveline when she turned 12 years old.. To teach her how to sew they studied fashion; creating dresses from history for her 18” doll. This idea has grown into two sewing courses created by Christian and Danette and presented at the MACHE Homeschool Conference for the past 15 years.
